The 2011 UNC Executive Cup
On Saturday, November 12, the University of North Carolina will host the 35th Annual Executive Cup Golf Tournament at Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill. The events will begin with a continental breakfast followed by a shotgun start for the tournament, which will follow a scramble format with a current or former UNC golfer on each team. Prizes will be presented for the Low Gross and Low Net teams.
The Executive Cup is the sole fundraising event for the UNC Golf program. Your contribution goes directly to the operating budgets of the golf teams. Funding the golf program becomes increasingly difficult every year. Your assistance provides the support required for the UNC golf teams to participate in prominent competitions, keeps them adequately equipped to compete against high ranking teams, and assists with the costs of transporting the teams to events. With your help, UNC is able to strive to be the pinnacle of collegiate golf.
Alumni Reunion: The 2011 Alumni Decades Challenge
2011 marks the continuation of what has quickly become a great tradition, the 2011 Alumni Decades Challenge! On Friday, November 11th, all past UNC Men's and Women's golfers are invited to attend events in their honor, including an afternoon round of golf and dinner at Chapel Hill Country Club (6:00 - 9:00, dress: golf casual).
Here are all the details.
This Year's Executive Cup
Official invitations for playing in the tournament will be mailed later this summer. Please note that the field will be limited to 120 players, so please send your entry as soon as possible.
One of the highlights of the Executive Cup is the A.E. Finley Silent Auction and Dinner. The Silent Auction features an array of golf related and other items every year. Many are one-of-a-kind. There are items for every budget and all tastes. You may view and bid on auction items online prior to the event. Please check back for more details soon.
This year brings a special new venue to the Silent Auction and Dinner: The Blue Zone in the new Loudermilk Center at Kenan Stadium! Scheduled to open this fall, we're looking forward to enjoying this great new space in the heart of the Tar Heel campus. For more information about the new Kenan Stadium and the Loudermilk Center, check out the website.
Sponsorship
This web site details the levels of sponsorship for the Executive Cup. If you are unable to attend the events, you can still help by becoming a Hole Sponsor, donating an item for the auction, or simply sending a donation of any amount. Your assistance is greatly needed.
